Mandate Overview
The mandate
Malaysia's Inland Revenue Board (LHDN/IRBM) operates the MyInvois platform, a centralized clearance system rolled out in phases since August 1, 2024. Phase 1 covered taxpayers with annual turnover above RM100 million, Phase 2 (January 1, 2025) extended to turnover above RM25 million, and the full third phase originally scheduled for July 1, 2025 was deferred: businesses with turnover between RM1 million and RM5 million join January 1, 2026, while businesses below RM1 million were exempted altogether. Every invoice must be submitted to MyInvois for validation before delivery to the buyer; LHDN returns a Unique Identifier Number (UIN) and QR code that must appear on the visualized invoice.
